Coin Trail
P6 had a very busy Tuesday yesterday, even more busy than usual!
All the children in school had spent the last few days collecting coins to bring into school, the aim was to make as long a moneytrail as possible in the playground.
The children placed their money down on the ground(no gaps allowed) and then P6 measured the length using trundle wheels. We managed to make a trail of 209m!
Then all the coins were collected and sorted into 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1.
After that we had to bag them and count them all up!
Exhausting work but such an enjoyable maths packed day! Not only that but we got to share so much of it with our P3 buddies.
An amazing £391.46 was raised for maths resources.
A huge thank you to all our coin collectors.
