The Education Authority together with the design team are undertaking pre-application community consultation activities in advance of a forthcoming submission of planning application for the refurbishment and extension of the existing school, with new staff car park and dedicated school drop-off within the school. The proposed development will also comprise the partial demolition of the existing school with the removal of 4 no. mobile classrooms. The extension will be single storey and include 4 no. new classrooms, a new multi-purpose Hall, upgraded heating systems and all ancillary development.
A public consultation event will be held at Corr’s Corner Hotel (315 Ballyclare Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 4TQ) on Thursday 2nd July 2026 between 3pm – 6:30pm. This event will provide information on the project and offer the opportunity to members of the public to provide feedback to the project design team. The event is a drop-in session, and can be attended at any time during the allocated hours.

This website will be live and accessible from 2nd July 2026 until Friday 31st July 2026. The pre-application consultation period will begin on Thursday 2nd July 2026 and end on Friday 31st July 2026. Members of the public must provide their feedback before Friday 31st July.
