P4 Ancient Egyptian Day
P4 had a busy day today completing all of their activities for 'Ancient Egyptian Day'. This morning we started by mummifying a tomato. We are looking forward to seeing the results in a few weeks time when we can compare it to the tomato that had not been mummified. We then became Egyptian farmers by planting some seeds. We can't wait to taste some of the runner beans when they have fully grown in the summer. Next we made an Egyptian sarcophagus whilst watching 'The Prince of Egypt' which told us about the story of Moses in the Bible. In the afternoon we made an Egyptian board game called 'senet' and to finish off we had a technology challenge requiring us to construct a pyramid using only newspaper and sellotape. We had lots of fun working together and learning more about life in ancient Egypt!
