Today, all children at The Thompson Primary School had a fantastic day sharing in World Book Day celebrations.
All our children made a tremendous effort with their costumes! They were so creative and we all loved seeing each of them.
Our day started with an assembly, in which we showed off our costumes to all the classes and Mrs White shared some wonderful books we could read and activities we could complete today.
For the remainder of our day, each class completed a mixture of activities all themed around World Book Day. Some classes shared their favourite books, spent time A.R. reading, listening to authors reading their classic novels and completing some really fun activities. Some classes even met with their buddies to enjoy World Book Day.
Even the teachers and classroom assistants got into the spirit and had a great time dressing up as their favourite characters.
Thank you to all the children for their hard work and effort today, they have made this day even more special. An extra big thank you to all the mummies, daddies, grannies and grandads who helped with the costumes, they were all amazing.
We can't wait for next year's celebrations already!
